Undescended Testes, medically known as Cryptorchidism, is a condition in which one or both of a male child’s testes fail to move down into the scrotal sac before birth. Normally, the testes develop inside the abdomen of the baby during pregnancy and descend into the scrotum before delivery. If this descent does not occur, it results in an undescended testicle.
This condition is relatively common in newborn boys, especially those born prematurely. If left untreated, it can lead to complications such as infertility, increased risk of testicular cancer, hernia, and psychological issues related to body image.
